Our second annual fundraising gala, Moon Tide, is an evening of community, connection, and generosity in support of The Forager School.

Inspired by the rhythms of the ocean, the wonder of childhood, and the beauty of our coastal community, Moon Tide brings together friends of Forager for a magical evening at The Sea Ranch Lodge.

Your ticket includes:

• A three-course seated dinner

• Welcome toast and hors d'oeuvres

• A live auction featuring one-of-a-kind experiences and offerings

• A silent auction featuring wares and services from local businesses and artists

• First access to our Forager Artisan Market, showcasing unique goods from our students and school community

Highlights from the 2024 Forager Gala: The Forager Prom

Our 2024 Gala, The Forager Prom, was an unforgettable evening. Full of prom-themed memories (Forager prom royalty! Throwback dance party! A sparkly photo station! Kid-made corsages!) minus the teen angst, this night raised just over $48,000 for The Forager School’s mission. This was only made possible by our attendees, sponsors, community volunteers, and the incredible hospitality of The Sea Ranch Lodge. We hope you’ll join us for this year and help make 2026’s event an even bigger success!

Our Mission

Since opening in 2023, Forager has grown from a small preschool into a thriving educational community that now includes a mixed-age elementary program and summer enrichment opportunities. Today, Forager serves children ages 2.5 to 10 through a continuum of programs that support local families, strengthen our workforce, and expand educational opportunities on the Mendonoma Coast. As the only full-time preschool program serving families from Fort Ross to Point Arena, Forager also fills a critical childcare need in our rural coastal community.

Inspired by the natural world around us, children learn through play, hands-on projects, artistic expression, outdoor exploration, social-emotional learning, and real-world problem solving. In 2025, The Forager School expanded to include an elementary program, providing local families with a child-centered educational option beyond preschool. Our mixed-age classroom blends strong academics with experiential learning, helping children develop independence, critical thinking, collaboration, and deep curiosity about the world.

The Forager School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Like many independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of delivering the high-quality, child-centered education that defines Forager. Proceeds from Moon Tide help support outstanding teachers, low student-to-teacher ratios, enriching programs, tuition assistance through The Forager Fund, and the meaningful relationships and hands-on experiences that define a Forager education.
